Ride with Deaf Mother and Ember plus Chip in Custer State Park

On our final day of South Dakota road trip will take you through cool Custer State Park! Prepare yourself to be in awe of the incredible views and interesting hikes we took! This is pretty ham packed day with lots of miles, so we suggest doing two short trails or one long trail if you go with kids!

There are informations in Custer State Park guide so you know where we went!

  1. We started with our morning by driving the Needles Highway up to the Cathedral Spires. The Needles Highway is a 14 mile stretch of road that is named after needles like Cathedral Spires. Then we hiked on Cathedral Spires Trail which is 1.6 round trip. It is so beautiful view to see!
  2. Second trail called “Sunday Gulch Trail” which I didn’t realized it was 3.9 mile loop trail! There are a lot of up and down rock slabs, using handrails to assist you, up and down metal stairs. through a gulch, and across streams. It’s very different than any hike we have ever done!

Thank you all for watching our episodes of South Dakota! Hopefully you will continue follow us for our future adventures in 2024!
